The founding story is dull and true. In early 2019, one of our co-founders got a call from his father — a retired teacher in Ohio — who had spent $600 with a "Microsoft support" caller who convinced him his PC was infected. The "technician" had installed a remote tool, poked around, and asked for gift cards.

Two things stood out. One: the scammers were absurdly polite and confident, and his father hadn't stood a chance. Two: he'd tried to get real help earlier and given up because the honest options were either a two-hour Best Buy trip or a $175 call-out fee from a local shop.

We wanted the middle option to exist. Fast, friendly, remote, US-based, and priced like it wasn't trying to squeeze anyone. That's what CleanPC is.

A quiet living-room corner at golden hour: a soft armchair with a deep-teal knit throw, a side table with a corded landline phone, a lamp glowing amber, a small open notebook, and a trailing houseplant. A framed abstract landscape hangs on the wall above.
The kind of room where our first call was received. This is who we build for.
What we won't do

Six commitments that shape every session.

No scare tactics

We never invent problems, exaggerate risk, or use urgency to sell. If we say something's wrong, it's because it is.

No upsells mid-session

Once we start, we finish the job at the price we quoted. If we discover something extra, we tell you — you decide.

No unattended access

Every session needs your explicit approval to start, and every session ends when you close it. We don't leave software running.

Plain English

If we can't explain what we're about to do in a sentence your grandmother would follow, we probably shouldn't be doing it.

You watch every step

Your screen stays on your screen. Every click we make, you see. Every folder we open, you see. No hidden work.

Honest pricing, no exceptions

The price on the site is the price you pay. No "convenience fees", no card surcharges, no auto-renewals we hide.

The team

Small on purpose. Every technician a specialist.

We're a team of 22 — 14 technicians, 4 in support, 4 running the business. Everyone lives in the US. Nobody is paid by commission or upsell.
